Little Step - Team Structure

Design and Develop

Team Little Step embraces a wide range of engineers and science departments including Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Chemical Engineering and Astrophysics. Each member of his own platform is working wholeheartedly to develop the design and may come out with new idea.

Circuit and Communication

This structure allows for more effective communication and less complicated circuit designing so we hope to experience the best outcome as commanded on board. Safety issue is most import to build up circuit in controlling robot.

Science Planning

Both chemical and astrophysics - combination of pure science and engineering create a huge sector to work on. Our motivating force to learn the unknown Mars gives us opportunity to witness the real life bridge between science and engineering withal.

Financial Management

Public relation and Financial management sector basically working to keep relation between ambition and corporeality. Besides, reaching the sponsors and representing the team are also part of the management here.

Little Step - Working Principal

Research

Our team is approaching through systematic investigation and study of materials and sources in order to establish some new features and reach out some new conclusion. Research about the mars rover, ex - Spirit, Opportunity, Curious. Research this mars data to find how rover control on mars. Analysis design structure, control system, collect sample for research.

Team Work and Execute

Various skilful act and action are cleverly conceived and fairly well executed in the team successfully.

Testing and Debugging

Running the rover in desert area to find out the actual error in the rover. It will help to get a good result in contest.

Our Mission - Little Step

The competition will be held on the dry, rough, and desert area based on the Mars planet. So our team's main motive is to build a rover that will be capable to improvise, adopt and overcome the rough situation and become a great assistant instead of a live person!

To make the mission do well, we will breakdown team into four major section, ex - Design, Software, Hardware, Laboratory section.

Little Step and Mars Rover Competition

In 2017-2018, The "Little Step" robotics team of Ahsanullah University Of Science & Technology is going to participate The University Rover Challenge (URC)-2018 that is an annual international competition hosted by The Mars Society. Little Step is a team of student engineers committed to design and building a rover that could assist astronauts working on Mars.

About URC Competition

"The University Rover Challenge (URC) is the world's premier robotics competition for college students. Held annually in the desert of southern Utah in the United States, URC challenges student teams to design and build the next generation of Mars rovers that will one day work alongside astronauts exploring the Red Planet."

The competition are divided into two major part -

About ERC Competition

"European Rover Challenge is Europe’s largest space and robotic event. It is made up of two basic elements. Held annually in different countries of Europe, in 2018 it will be held on Poland. Firstly, it is the prestigious since the beginning in 2014 competition of Martian robots. Secondly, for ERC visitors a great attraction provides an area of Science and Technology Shows –presentations prepared by exhibitors. "

The competition are divided into Six parts -

About CIRC Competition

"The Canadian International Rover Challenge (CIRC) is a rover competition open to post-secondary student design teams from all around the world. In 2018, the competition will be held on Drumheller, Alberta, Canada. Similar to other competitions, such as the University Rover Challenge and European Rover Challenge, teams will simulate what it would be like as an early colony on an extraterrestrial planet."
